FAQs

Have more questions about Medical Grade Facials & Chemical Peels and don’t know where to start? A consultation with our team of experts can help. In the meantime, here are some commonly asked questions.

What is it and what can it help with?

We offer both medical-grade facials and chemical peels. During a medical-grade facial, a face mask targeted towards your specific skin’s needs with added enzymes is applied to the skin for a gentle resurfacing effect. During a chemical peel treatment, an acidic solution is applied to the skin and left on for a specific amount of time before being neutralized and removed. This process helps to remove the top layer of dead skin cells, revealing smoother, brighter skin underneath. Overall, both procedures can be beneficial treatment options for improving uneven texture, mild hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, dryness and acne.

What can I expect during my treatment?

Luxurious cleansing, exfoliating, treating, peeling or mask and serums customized to your skin’s unique needs.

Does a chemical peel hurt?

Some people may experience some tingling, itching or slight burning to the skin which goes away as soon as the peel is neutralized. No prior numbing needed.

How long do results last?

After a facial/chemical peel, skin is usually smoother, has a more even color and brighter complexion. We recommend the use of medical-grade skincare at home to continue seeing improvements in your skin. Consistency is key when it comes to skincare, so sticking to a routine that works for you is key to continue taking care of your skin on a daily basis. In addition to using medical-grade skincare products, it’s also important to protect the skin from the sun by wearing sunscreen every day, avoiding excessive sun exposure, and wearing protective clothing. This will help prevent further damage to the skin and maintain the results of the treatment.

What’s the downtime like?

There is no downtime, however, immediately after a chemical peel, skin becomes more photosensitive. It is absolutely necessary that a broad spectrum sunscreen is applied daily post treatment, and that sun exposure is avoided or kept to a minimum. Otherwise, makeup can even be worn the same day if needed. We love this treatment before an event for a beautiful healthy glow.

How often can I get it done?

A series of three to six treatments spread four to six weeks apart are recommended for optimal results.
